+ 8 in ten businesses always check references (a huge expenditure of resource) - Recruitment Consultants spend an average of almost two working days chasing references for job candidates for temporary staff positions in the public sector.
- On average high street brands hire anywhere up to 5000 temporary contract staff each over Christmas and New Year and for the winter sales periods. If these retail giants do not have in place a system such as refero to manage the referencing process when these staff leave early in 2007, what plan do they have for managing this huge workload?
- Increasing importance of corporate security affects all businesses, but particularly those in the aviation and financial services sector (for whom employee history checks are mandated and regulated)
