Data accuracy, confidentiality, and security are of the utmost importance to refero. We are aware of the personal and sensitive nature of information contained in employment references. For this reason refero have integrated strict security measures to protect our systems against unauthorised access, virus attacks and natural disasters.

Registration: The registration process requires direct interaction with the refero team. By precluding 'online' registration, the potential for exploitation and fraud by means of using misinformation is removed.

Logging in: Users must provide the correct credentials provided to them at registration. All login attempts are recorded by our security system.

Reference Access: References can only be accessed once logged in with the correct credentials and by providing a unique reference authorisation key.

Secure Hardware: No one, other than an authorised refero personnel will have direct access the sRDMS hardware or network.

System Backup: The sRDMS system is backed up 'offsite' on a daily basis to guarantee no data is lost in the event of a natural disaster.

Online payments: When you use your credit card on our site, your purchase is safeguarded like any other valuable transaction. The transmission of sensitive data from our site is protected by SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), a proven coding system that allows your browser to automatically encrypt or scramble data before you send it. All your personal information resides on our secure servers where only our software decrypts and unscrambles it.

We take extra security measures to verify your identity before you can retrieve employment references. We also make sure that you can complete transactions with the confidence that no one else will access your account information. To ensure that your information remains secure, never reveal your password to anyone or store it on your computer. If you feel someone else may know the password, simply change it using the options available.
